Outo Country
|
Why, don't you just happen to be a lucky traveller! You've stumbled upon the beautiful country of Outo. This serene nation is home to people of all different walks of life. You may find our style of living quite similar to that of the romantic time period of 1920s Japan, but we certainly have a separate identity all our own. Perhaps what's most unique about our country is also something quite sinister... you see, we're terrorized by dark creatures known as "oni", but luckily we have our brave and fearless oni hunters to fight back!
The Capital of Sakura?
You know, we get this a lot! It's due to the fact that the kanji that makes up our country's name is also respectively "Sakura" and "Capital". But we aren't shy about this. In fact, the cherry blossom is seen throughout Outo and is essentially our mascot flower. In all, I guess you could say we're quite lenient with our name.
And on that subject... you're welcome to use just an alias to register yourself in our country. You could even be a Big Puppy or a Little Kitty!

Oni
Oni are demons. They come in different ranks and all shapes and sizes, but oni are commonly black creatures with blood-red eyes. What is particularly strange about oni is they only attack oni hunters (people designated to kill them) and have only specific areas where they come out. In other words, you wouldn't see an oni walking down Main Street and taking out civilians!
But recently, the oni in Outo have been acting very peculiarly... not even city hall has been able to properly track their movements. And on top of it all, it seems a new rank of oni has emerged - a single oni so frighteningly strong enough as to lead them all. But not even City Hall is sure about the identity of this oni!
Important Places
City Hall

Outo's city hall is where travellers register themselves as "citizens" upon arrival; think of it as an immigration office where people get processed in a new country. City hall also assigns jobs to travellers (based on their choice), sells real estate, and essentially handles all other basic aspects of life. City hall is also an important information hub and keeps track of "oni" movement in Outo.
